Julie Stern is a four-time bestselling author, researcher, and international education advisor whose work helps schools prepare students for a rapidly changing world. Recognized by John Hattie as his "go-to person on transfer of learning," Julie is known for helping educators move beyond content coverage toward learning that students can remember, connect, and apply in new situations.

Julie is the founder of Education to Change the World, a team that leads global initiatives focused on the future of learning, student engagement, conceptual understanding, and transfer. Her work helps schools make sense of emerging challenges, including artificial intelligence, increasing complexity, changing workforce demands, and the growing need for adaptable, thoughtful citizens.

Julie has partnered with schools, networks, and organizations across six continents and has influenced thousands of educators, leaders, board members, and parents through her writing, research, speaking, and advisory work.

She is the author of Learning That Transfers, Visible Learning for Social Studies, The On-Your-Feet Guide to Learning Transfer, and Tools for Teaching Conceptual Understanding: Elementary and Secondary. Her sixth publication will be released soon by ASCD + ISTE, titled Teaching Visual Thinking.

Julia has a background in Science and Mathematics, is deeply curious and loves sharing this with students, from the very youngest to the oldest. Originally from the UK, she now now lives in Medellín, Colombia. Julia co-authored the On Your Feet Guide to Learning Transfer.

Frank is a native of Washington, DC and product of the DC Public School system. Throughout her career, she served as an instructor or an administrator at the primary, secondary, and adult levels. In her other time, Frank is a writer, podcaster, and aspiring journalist.

Physical Education & Health Specialist

Mihai is an adventurer and explorer who loves to promote well-being, health, and fitness through movement, play, and goal setting. Originally from Romania, Mihai lives in Tirana, Albania, he is Assistant Head at an International school.

Camel Lim Torres

Visual & Performing Arts Specialist

Carmel is a practicing artist as well as Arts educator, with more than 15 years teaching at middle, high, and university levels. Carmel lives in Manila and loves to share her passion for the process of art making and exploring the world.

Georgina Downing

STEAM Specialist

Georgie has taught Science for over 15 years in South Korea, Colombia and Portugal where she currently lives. She has been a key player in paradigm shifts in several schools and is excited that the current model of education is necessarily and dramatically changing in both content and modes of delivery. Her passion for teaching extends across the STEAM disciplines.

Simon is a seasoned educator in Design and Technology and leader in STEAM education. Originally from Australia, he now calls Bogotá, Colombia, home.
